Daily stats: 150 positive cases recorded in 24 hours

The Maldives recorded 150 positive cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours. This is the highest number of cases recorded in the Maldives over the recent weeks. The country’s tally is now at 12,758.

The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said out of the 1,717 tests conducted during the period, 62 positive cases were identified in the Greater Male’ Region. 88 were registered in the atolls. 58 cases are of locals, while 92 are foreigners.

The Maldives has recorded 11,615 recoveries and 46 deaths until now. 1090 cases are active across 12 islands and 30 resorts, and 92 people are currently hospitalized.
