The Maldives recorded 44 positive cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours. The country’s tally is now at 12,854.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said out of the 1,516 tests conducted during the period, 34 positive cases were identified in the Greater Male’ Region. The remaining ten cases were registered in the atolls: two in operational resorts and eight in islands under development.
The Maldives has recorded 11,681 recoveries and 46 deaths until now, with the most recent death recorded over the past 24 hours. 1120 cases are active across 14 islands and 30 resorts, and 95 people are currently hospitalized.
