An Indian national has been arrested in the Maldives for terrorism.
The 28 year old male named Raj Prashanth was arrested on December 30th under a court order. According to Maldives Police Service, the man was arrested for speaking about a bomb while awaiting departure from Velana International Airport.
The court has decided on a remand period of five days for the individual. Investigation is currently ongoing, and no further details regarding the case were shared.
