A person who was injured after a glass pallet fell on him at Maldives Ports Limited has passed away. The 27 year old man, Abdulla Asim, succumbed to his injuries while he was being treated in the Intensive Care Unit of state-run Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).
The accident took place earlier this month on January 7th, and three people were injured in the incident. Asim was trapped between the side of a container and the glass pallet when it fell on his chest. He suffered serious injuries due to the incident, which caused internal bleeding and several broken bones. The remaining two people who were involved in the incident received less serious injuries.
Asim passed away at around 5:40 am on Saturday.
