The Maldives recorded 53 positive cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours. The country’s tally is now at 14,765.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said out of the 2,541 samples tested during the period, 29 positive cases were identified in the Greater Male’ Region. The remaining 24 cases were registered in the atolls.
The Maldives has recorded 13,683 recoveries and 50 deaths until now, with the most recent death registered on Thursday. 1,025 cases are active across Maldives and 74 people are currently hospitalized. Three are receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit out of which one is on ventilator support.
