A person has tested positive for COVID-19 from Thinadhoo island.
According to the Health Protection Agency, the positive case is linked to a cluster identified in southernmost Addu city. The person is a direct contact of a positive case identified in Addu. Thinadhoo has now been put under HPA’s monitoring status until further notice.
Earlier last week, two people who returned to Male’ after traveling to Thinadhoo tested positive for COVID-19. Both had traveled to Thinadhoo under a special permit issued by HPA
