The Maldives on Tuesday registered an additional COVID-19 death.
According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), a 77-year old Maldivian male from Ga. Dhevvadhoo passed away at Ga. Covid Management Facility at 09:48 am on Tuesday morning.
This is the 56th COVID-19 death in the Maldives.
The number of COVID-19 cases have been increasing in the Maldives over the past couple of weeks. Authorities have strengthened precautionary measures to address the new wave of infections.
