A strict curfew will be imposed in Fuvahmulah City in response to COVID-19 infections in the city.
11 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Fuvahmulah City over the past few days. Several measures are being introduced in the city to ensure the safety of the public.
In this regard, a curfew will be imposed in Fuvahmulah effective from Saturday between 8:00pm to 04:00am. Parties, events and other gatherings have also been prohibited, as well as visiting other households. Gyms, salons and hairdressers have also been closed and schools, universities and colleges have been asked to conduct classes online. Restaurants, cafes and hotels will also be closed.
The new measures will be in effect for a duration of seven days.
