The Ministry of Education has moved up the date on which the A' level examinations will be held this year.
The examination was previously scheduled to be held during May / June this year. However, the Ministry has announced that the EdExcel examination will now be held from April 26 onwards. The change is due to the changes brought to the exam schedule by EdExcel, said MoE.
While the COVID-19 pandemic has greatly affected global education, EdExcel first decided against holding the examinations this year. The institute had decided that teachers would instead assess the students based on the student’s assessments.
However, the Education Ministry informed to EdExcel that it would be challenging to assess the students through assessments, and requested the examiner to allow written tests for students, a proposal that EdExcel subsequently accepted.
