A' level students given option to delay exams until October

Education Ministry has stated that students who are scheduled to sit for the May / June A’ level examination have the option to postpone their exam to October / November this year.

The ministry had earlier announced that the examinations scheduled for May / June will be moved up to April.

A statement issued by the ministry on Sunday night said 12th grade students scheduled to sit for the May / June A and AS level examination can withdraw their applications and postpone their exams until the October / November examination. Those who opt to postpone can sit the October / November examinations under their school’s name, and only those sitting for the International AS/A Levels exams can withdraw their applications in this manner, said the ministry. However, the HSC examinations will go on as scheduled, the ministry added.

Students who wish to withdraw their applications must share their information with the Department of Public Examination through their respective schools before 12pm on April 30th. According to the Education Ministry, top ten achievers and the recipients of the Presidential Scholarship will be selected from among those sitting the April/ May examination.
