COVID-19: Maldives' tally surpasses 25,000

The number of COVID-19 cases recorded in the Maldives has surpassed 25,000.

The Maldives recorded 145 cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, bringing the country's tally to 25,053. 85 cases were identified in the Greater Male' Region while 58 cases were detected in the atolls and in local resorts.

While the Maldives has recorded 67 COVID-19 deaths to date, 21,989 people have recovered from the illness. 3,079 cases are currently active. The country's vaccine campaign is ongoing.
