The Maldives has recorded an additional COVID-19 death.
According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), an 80-year old local male from K. Dhiffushi passed away late Monday night at 11:25 pm. He passed away while receiving treatment at the COVID Facility in Hulhumale'.
This is the 71st COVID-19 death recorded in the Maldives.
The Maldives has recorded over 26,300 COVID-19 cases thus far. 2,678 cases are active at this time.
